Just because it’s legal, doesn’t mean it’s right.  Love animals, don’t pay people to torture them.  Go vegan!

Word.

-Not that I think we shouldn’t reduce our red meat consumption. But the biggest green house gas problem is not the consumers, it’s the industrial complex itself.
It’s no use the average consumer cutting out beef and dairy and eggs if the system itself continues to perform absolutely destructive practices, like fracking, tar-sands removal and damming every river available.
I Agree we do need to cut down on our agricultural consumption and yet…if we don’t turn away from monoculture, all we are doing is applying salves to severed limbs.
We need to change the whole system, most especially the corporate system.

Just because there are a million issues in the world that deserve addressing, that doesn’t justify one ignoring veganism as a direct solution to many of these problems. You cannot “change the whole system” over night. It takes steps like this to make a difference and just because you can’t fix it by yourself does not mean you shouldn’t do your part.
Consuming animals is cruel and absolutely unnecessary for human survival. By continuing to do so, you are creating more of a detriment than you understand. These big companies that are causing such large amounts of pollution on our planet are driven by supply and demand regardless of what the company is. Every choice you make contributes to either supporting or protesting these practices.

More Lucy Lawless activism! I’m so proud of her! She knows she’s going to be arrested the moment she leaves the ship, yet she’s doing this for the ecosystem anyways. What an amazing person, standing up for our planet like that. Sound like anyone we all know? Yeah…sounds exactly like Xena to me too.

STOP SHELL!

She has many skills.
